  1. The day before Valentine's day, my [high school sweetheart] boyfriend and I had gotten into an argument (at that time we had been dated for 3 years, now it's been 6). Because we are both stubborn, after that tussle, we did not call or plan to see each other on that rainy Valentine's Day. I was at home alone, in my brightly striped pajamas, when my dog started to go nuts! He ran into my room barking, but I ignored it for awhile. After a few minutes, I followed him over to my room, and I found him on my bed barking out my window! As it turns out, my boyfriend had written "MINE" on my window, and left a giant stuffed bear, balloons, flowers, and candy in my yard. I ran outside expecting to find him somewhere, but he was no where to be found! I went back inside, and I was about to call him when there was a knock on the front door. There he was! He was standing out in the rain, and he said his truck wouldn't start. I ran up to him, jumped into his arms and kissed him in the rain. Then I went down my driveway to help him with his truck, but as it turns out, he fibbed so I would come out to meet him! It was a Valentine's Day of many surprises :)

  2. My husband's birthday is on Vday. We did a Gal-entine's Day a couple days before (like on Parks and Rec) with our friends and did it like secret santa. It was fun to make each other crafty presents.

  3. Well this story may not sound like your typical Valentines Day cute couple story but it was very meaningful to me. I was a freshman in high school and our schools floral club did flower grams and balloon bouquets for valentines day and you could send them to people who would get them in class, which I thought was so fun and cute but I was pretty bummed out that I wasnt dating anyone and didnt have a valentine to do something special with. Then on valentines day when I sat through class after class of watching my friends get cute things from their boyfriends or girlfriends in walks this student with a GIANT balloon bouquet and asks for me. I couldnt believe it and the card on the bouquet said "from an admirer" so I had no idea who had sent it. I felt super special all day and when I went home I couldnt wait to show my mom and sister what someone had sent me. When I got home and told my mom she just smiled and said Im glad you liked them, which made my heart sink a little because it was then apparent that my MOM was the one who had sent them to me, but then when she told me she put that on the card so that she didnt embarrass me by having it sent from my mom but that she wanted me to feel special and loved on that day and not bummed out that I didnt have a boyfriend I thought it was really sweet and fun of my mom. A lot of people get bummed out because they dont have a significant other to share it with and this year was the first time in a long time I have someone in my life that I really wanted to share it with, but because of that day I also know that you can have a fun and funny valentine with anyone who loves you even your Mom!

  4. When I was in the 5th grade I moved to a new school. In my class was the cutest most popular girl in school. She was a competitive ice skater and roller skater. Everyone thought she was the coolest because she got to miss school almost every Friday to travel to competitions. I didn't know her but I was like all the other boys and thought she was the BOMB!
Valentines Day rolls around and we are all walking around class exchanging Valentines cards when she walks up to my desk. In her hand was a stack of small little cards. Unexpectedly she reaches into a bag on her arm and pulls out a huge Valentines card, hands it to me and asks me to be her Valentine. I was in awe. Of course I said yes and from that date on I had the hottest and cutest 5th grade girl as my girlfriend.

  5. I've never been one to have an exceptional Valentines Day but 2 years ago I met this wonderful man and for Valentines Day he invited me over to dinner. When I arrived he not only had made me an amazing dinner, but he had vintage Dom Perignon to start. I had never been treated to such a great bottle of champagne. It was the start of a great night that not only had an amazing meal, but also a great pair of red panties and a matching bra.

  6. My favorite Valentine's Day was when my roommate in college drove out to Santa Cruz to watch me play in a tournament. I didn't have a lot of people in college watch my play and she drove 45 minutes to see my play. It started raining that day. Afterwards we went out for a Valentine's Day dinner. I never had a Valentine's date or was with somebody to spend Valentine's Day with. This made it special to have a roommate come out and support me.
